There is no doubting the popularity of black tea, which can be enjoyed on its own or sweetened with milk and sugar. The English tea party has spanned generations, and has inspired everyone from those in high society to little girls playing tea party in the backyard. Black tea is fully fermented and varies in flavour and strength depending on the origin of the tealeaf from which it is produced. At Rosa Tea house we source only the best of black teas from India, Sri Lanka, the Himalayas, China and beyond.
We also stock a large variety of flavoured black teas, which have become increasingly popular. The addition of a variety of fruits, flowers and natural essences ensures that there is something for everybody on this menu.
Tea in general is high in natural plant-derived antioxidants called polyphenols, which help to fight the free radicals within the body that wage war against our cells and our immunity. As a result an increase in antioxidants can assist in skin and heart health, cell health and renewal and a strong immune system. Antioxidants have been linked with the prevention of certain cancers and stroke, as well as assisting in the lowering of cholesterol. Fluoride in tea can assist with the health of our teeth and the prevention of tooth decay, and tea is full of other nutrients such as magnesium, manganese, potassium, calcium and vitamins C and K.
And, let’s face it – there is nothing quite like the experience of sipping a good quality tea!
